Pastry Chef, Emma Livingston, heads the farm to table pastry program at The Old School Nashville. Originally from Parsons, Tennessee, Emma found her niche and love of pastry working culinary events with her mom, Colleen.
Educated at the Art Institue in Nashville, Chef Livingston earned an Associate’s degree in baking and patisserie in 2014. During her schooling, Emma worked at local bakery, Merridee’s Breadbasket, honing skills in baking a variety of breads, lamination, pastries, and volume production. Chef Livingston became the Assistant Head Baker, before continuing on to work under Pastry Chef, Nasera Munshi at MStreet’s upscale Steak spot, Kayne Prime. At Kayne Prime, Chef Livingston created in house pastries and desserts, showcased her style in the in house cake program, and eventually assisted in expanding the pastry program operations to service multiple restaurants within the hospitality group.
Chef Livingston lends her many years of pastry experience to produce desserts, baked goods and breads that highlight local provisions from neighboring farms, as well as the non-profit farm on property. Her menu features refined versions of the southern classics that speak to the nostalgia and charm of Nashville.
